HP IPAQ Scan Station (With Gryphon Bluetooth Scanner)
The HP IPAQ running Pocket PC 2003 is supplied with our Pocket PC scanning programs.
This option requires the upgrade to VMPro2 SQL, but will then allow scanning over your wireless network.
The Pocket PC scanning station comes with three modes of scanning:
- Book In / Out. This checks that the badge is valid and not expired and if so books the person into the facility / venue.
- Validation Check. Once the person is inside the facility / venue the person scanning can go around checking that no one has 'snuck in'. If this is the case when scanned the badge will come back as a bad badge error and an explanation supplied as to why.
- Meal Ticket (Can also be used for drinks). VMPro2 Event provides the facility of allocation meals to the badge. So should your venue want to supply a free meal or drink, when the badge is scanned it check how many meals the person is entitled to and decreases that count by one each time the badge is scanned.
